Zippo Canada - Final Production Run

Zippo Canada in Niagara Falls, Ontario, was created in 1949 to avoid the high import taxes for metal goods to Canada. Once these costs between the USA and Canada were substantially reduced, the plant was no longer profitable. It was closed with the "Final Production Run" on 2002-07-31. It was except Bradford, PA the only production site for Zippo lighters.
